“Yesterday, 221 members of Congress released a letter to the acting director of the Office of Management and Budget, asking him to allow the coal industry to emit greenhouse pollution without any limits. Claiming the Environmental Protection Agency’s proposed rule on greenhouse gas pollution from new and modified coal-fired power plants needs to be killed because of the “devastating impact it will have on jobs and the nation’s economy” were 207 Republicans and 14 Democrats:

We respectfully ask that you stop EPA’s GHG rulemaking because of the devastating impact it will have on jobs and the economy.”

Reblog this shit.

THE FACT THAT WE HAVE TO DECIDE BETWEEN A GOOD ECONOMY AND A GOOD ENVIRONMENT SHOULD BE AN EYE OPENER ENOUGH TO SHOW THAT THIS SYSTEM IS COMPLETELY FLAWED AND INHERENTLY CORRUPT.

Dear fucking god. No.

-Even more terrifying, is that there is no way adding more coal plants is going to do anything for the US economy. It’ll just make some rich men richer, and fuck over everybody else.

Share this people. Your world is under attack…and we know the names of the people doing it now.

We do not have to choose between a good environment and a good economy. We only have to choose between good and evil. The dumbasses who signed this things do not stand for good.

I am disappointed that the only piece of evidence used here was an article from USA Today. The rest appears to be speculation.

Are our national congresspeople actually taking government documents seriously when they cite USA Today as a resource? It seems so. Aren’t there official organizations who would be more worthy of citation than a newspaper? Especially from people who work in D.C….
